In late September, I was lucky enough to spend 3 days at Spurn Point with Martin Garner and Andy Roadhouse from the observatory. A cracking and intense 3 days with 106 species seen in the end. Not too many photos taken as was too busy birding, but a small selection attached. Thanks again to Martin and Andy and the people at the obs for all their help, assistance and sharing of their knowledge - and the great company too.
Having had such a good time, I returned for another week at the end of October. Migration still in full swing with large numbers of birds heading south still. Highlight of the trip were 2 Pallas's Warblers, one of which was trapped and seen in the hand - still can't believe that something so small can fly so far!
