Sat at my desk at work, a tweet came through that Bob Hazel had found a summer plumaged Spotted Sandpiper at Draycote Water. There then followed a very anxious wait wondering if it would stay until I could get over there to hopefully see it. Eventually got out of work at 18:30, dashed home, grabbed the camera and shot over to Draycote. Thankfully it was still present and showing well in the rather murky light. Constantly on the move moving along the shore line, it wasn't easy to get decent shots but kept plugging away and managed a few good shots - if I say so myself! Thanks Bob - just rewards for all the long hours he puts in at Draycote.
